User Reviews of the "fbagent.exe"

  • SAFErating from user MikeOne for file C:\Windows\System32\FBAgent.exe (Variant: 10900353)

The main idea of the ASUS FastBoot application is that during the time of (years) usage the computers will slow down their boot process because of the amount of apps installed. This process from ASUS can change the boot order of isntalled apps - user can choose which will start just after the OS is loaded fully (so it seems the computer boots faster). This tool from Asus does not really allow faster boots. What it does is to change the boot order for les essential services and startup programs that you should really delay (notably the various Internet autoupdate tools). I use it for increased security and system stability by allowing most programs to start in delayed mode, when keeping in early boot only my favorite antivirus protection and a few system tools like battery management and processor speed control, as well as some internal tools from the graphics driver which is used to configure the graphics card in safe mode. I also don't delay the RAID tools . Note that if you configure a program to run in delayed mode, then the FBAgent will become the parent process running all other delayed processes configured. And the lauch by Windows Explorer or from Windows boot will be disabled (but not deleted). Beside this it remains safe as the delayed processes are laucnhed according to their configured settings normally registered in Windows (including sepaeate user id and with restricted access rights). Very small in memory, it does not use the CPU or network at all by itself.
