Samsung Update utility directly from Samsung Electronics CO., LTD. - this module touches the internet connection, but in this case it is a legitimate action...

It's part of the "Samsung Update Plus" for Samsung Software on my netbook. I've downloaded Samsung Update Plus directly from the Samsung website.

THREATrating from user himagain for file %PROGRAMFILES%\Samsung\Samsung Update Plus\supbackground.exe (Variant: 133813)
My copy of System Explorer (4.0.0.5025) shows it "owned" by Samsung as part of its specialised Win7 installation on my R780 Portable. Strangely, this Site shows a weird distribution of users for the program - mainly Nthrn Europe. N.B.: I have an infected machine with a weird virus/rootkit which is identified by its interfering with background page display. Despite using ALL of the top anti-virus progs, the no background display problem remains, yet no infection is now shown by any.
