This service broke my internet, and has no easy way to fix aside from a system restore, which may or may not work. Extremely dangerous software that apple bundles in with basically everything you can install from them on windows (Itunes, quicktime, etc). Really horrible they include such invasive software that can cripple windows machines. I would never install any of their software, except I had to because my mom wanted her iphone unlocked, and unlike androids, stupid iphones require you to connect them to your computer and run itunes to do that.

mDNSResponder is part of the I-Tunes from Apple Taken from wikipedia.org : "In computing, Bonjour is Apple Inc.'s trade name for its implementation of Zeroconf, a service discovery protocol. Bonjour locates devices such as printers, other computers, and the services that those devices offer on a local network using multicast Domain Name System service records. The software comes built-in with Apple's Mac OS X operating system and iOS for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Bonjour can be installed onto computers running Microsoft Windows operating systems. Bonjour components may also be included within other software such as iTunes." More info on www.apple.com, http://www.apple.com/search/?q=Bonjour+Service&sec=global

Save but absolutely useless tool if you don't have a iPod. This tool is forcibly installed bij iTunes. Note: Don't uninstall this program otherwise iTunes will not run or update itself! But... You can stop the following services if you don't have a iPod and iTues will still run fine! Start "Services.msc" and make sure the property's of the folowing services are set to: Disabeled. * "Bonjour service" or "Bonjour-service". * "Apple Mobile Device", the Dutch version is called: "Mobiel Apple apparaat". * "iPod Service" or "iPod-Service".

Is part of the "Apple Bonjour-Service". It's installed together with I-Tunes. Annoying but harmless - imo not needed.
