Tabs Layout

Tree List Layout


System Explorer provides two types of layouts. If you don't like default "tabs layout", you can switch it to "tree list layout". Just click to menu>View>Show Left Menu. Our recommendation is to use "tabs layout", because you can remove unneeded tabs and save system resources.

Main Menu (1)

Main Menu provides access to options and additional settings. You can change to standard windows style menu in Menu>View>Show Classic Main Menu.

Tabs (2)

This is new feature of System Explorer 3.0.You can create any count of tabs and set each tab to any section. Created tabs are stored in configuration and redisplayed every start.

You can:

  1. Change active section by clicking to the tab.
  2. Delete tab by clicking to (X) button in right corner of the tab
  3. Add new tab by clicking to [+] button.
  4. Swap tabs by drag'n'drop operation

Toolbar (3)

Toolbar provides access to major functions and filter settings for active sections. Filter settings are stored separately for each section. (from version 3.9.4)

Toolbar controls description:

  1. Security Scan - Click to process security check of running processes and loaded modules
  2. Show System Entries - Show/Hide operating system entries.
  3. Show Service - Show/Hide processes with running services.
  4. Tree View Mode - Enable/Disable displaying items in tree structure. This mode is available for Processes only.
  5. Search Text - Enter text which you want to find.
  6. Visual Filter - Enable this option, if you want to hide all items which are not in compliance with entered search text

Client area of active section (4)

In this area are displayed information and user interface for active section.

File Information Panel (5)

This panel contains basic information about file associated with selected item. Panel area supports drag'n'drop operation. If you can get any file and drop it to this panel, then File Details Dialog with additional security information will be displayed. You can hide/show this panel in "Main Menu>View>Show File Info".

Status bar (6)

Status bar contains overall system information:

  1. Processes Count - Count of running processes in system
  2. CPU Usage - Overall processor usage in %
  3. RAM - Overall memory usage in %
  4. SWP - Overall usage of swap file in %

 

Tray Icon

Tray Icon contains graph of overall CPU usage. If you click left click to the tray icon, then main window of the System Explorer will be displayed/hidded.

Description of colors in Tray Icon CPU usage graph:

  1. Green - User CPU Usage.
  2. Yellow - Kernel CPU Usage.
  3. Red - User CPU Usage. If overall CPU usage is higher than 80%.
  4. Orange - Kernel CPU Usage. If overall CPU usage is higher than 80%.

Tray Icon Popup MenuX

Tray Icon Popup menu provides fast access to main System Explorer functions.

Tray Icon Tooltip

 

Tray Icon Tooltip shows details about actual state of your operating system. More information in Features - Tray Tooltip.
