Own IP/MAC address
  • Frequently I need to know which ip address I have - also for the MAC address. Is there a possibility to have this information everywhere? My suggestion would be the system tray - but I do not want to overload it. What do you think?

  • Could be in the StatusBar...

and sorry for my english, i'm brazillian :)
  • I see in SE v3.5.1 that Settings in the Advanced Tooltip has an option for Network Address, but it is not enabled by default.

I would like to see the IP and MAC address in the Additional Info tab of the main screen, perhaps under a new sub-tab called Network.
  • This could be useful info. The question is, where to show it.
  • I agree with the status bar positioning; that would be a good fit, in my opinion. However, I think they should ALSO be placed in the system tray, because I (like API) also need to access those two addresses frequently. And really, having the MAC and IP addresses in there really won't add much extra "bloat" to the tray dialog, so I feel that it couldn't harm anything to have it in both places.

But if I had to choose one, well... I'd probably choose the tray dialog, just because it's easier to access.

    P.S. - @LeonardoGC, your English is fine! ^^
  • Aw thank you *-*
  • if it shows in system tray would be great
  • I agree, great option, shown in system tray.

  • Is this implemented yet?

Because as far as I can tell, this shouldn't be that hard to do, so if it is low-priority, could you please make it higher? Thanks!
