This file is a genuine MS Windows sytstem executable - the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). This utility is used to configure remote devices, monitor network performance, audit network usage, and detect network faults or inappropriate access. With this utility there is also the Microsoft Windows SNMP API - application programming interface, which serves for another applications as a connection point.

As a Windows system file with very wide usage, this executable can often be a target of a virus attack. ALways check the respective MD5 variant.
