ouc.exe is a 32bit system process used by various HUAWEI Technologies Co., Ltd software (most notably Hi Suite). It's safe to kill but keep in mind that it needs to be running in order to use the bundled Huawei software of most mobile devices.

I have Zain Broadband software for internet usb and this file is located as follow on my pc (same for windows vista and 7): C:\Program Files\Zain Broadband\UpdateDog\ouc.exe This file is for the software live update checking. It works by showing and hiding periodically as a batch cmd black screen and is very annoying. It appears that its cycle settings are here: C:\Program Files\Zain Broadband\UpdateDog\LiveUpdate.ini I tried several times to remove it from startup processes but in vain! It also gives an error in the screen: argc is error!!!! I think this is a very bad design of a live update process built by HUAWEI Technologies Co. (www.huawei.com) It confused me for long time until I discovered that its not a virus or trojan or hack!

    From Huawei modem software. To disable: 1. remove from Win+R, regedit.exe, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ - ouc.exe 2. C:\Program Files\Connect Manager (or any)\UpdateDog\UserInfo.ini - edit 2nd line: Strategy=never

I have noticed the ouc.exe from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. in my system too. After a system search found out that it is used by a usual program from a local Telephoneprovider (Telekom Germany). That manages internet connection via that usb umts sticks.

  • THREATrating from user ŚMIETANA for file %APPDATA%\blueconnect\ouc.exe (Variant: 283970)

File installed always with modem for mobile internet (PLAY ONLINE in my case). This is a kind of hauwei utility which checks for updates. In my case, on windows 7 home premium, it froze the system after boot. I could not do anything. After a few minuts everything was ok, and i was able to work normally. I unchecked this file from msconfig/autostart and now system boots under 50s... and everything is ok.

  • THREATrating from user co for file %APPDATA%\blueconnect\ouc.exe (Variant: 283970)

This file isn't safe at all. It can be used to generate traffic and in my case i have a pre paid usb modem which means that when i stick it in my laptop and connect to a mobile or 3G network, the OUC.EXE can cause me to loose credits without me knowing it when it attempts to update. Not good Huawei you should never add any software like that.

I also have ouc.exe running. I am using a Mobilicity internet data stick, which also uses Huawei technology. I have found no disruptions to service when I end the process in the task manager.

This ouc.exe is a processe that works with the Huawei system.Clients using the new Wind Mobile wireless USB stick have this processe in thier task manager.Completely safe, but takes up system ram,so if you dont use Wind Mobile wireless stick, you should uninstall the Connect Manager program.
