HP Protextion Advisory. Norton(from Symantec) has created this Fishy Popup. If this program is downloaded on your computer it wil show itself every single time you Start your Operating System. Even when you remove everything related to Norton from your Machine, This Popup will still keep on bugging you. If you try to locate it all you will find is this Shortcut File that points to its own parent folder where obviously no other files are stored. The Purpose of this Addware is to trick people into buying their full program by offering a 30 day trial. Symantec tries to convince the user they need this software to be able to acces their files. What to do? very subtle there is a button in the lower-left corner of the Popup that says: Remind me later. This is the only way to get rid of the popup. There is no way to stop this popup from showing up unless you start up the Popup Manually for about 5 times in a row without rebooting your system. Becouse then there will be a button visible next to the "Remind me Later" button labeled: "Do not remind me again". If you click it a Warning message shows up asking if you really wanna leave your files unprotected. (Wich is weird becouse this is a backup system, not a firewall or other type of Protection). This message gives you 2 Choices. "Yes" or "Tell me more". DO NOT CLICK TELL ME MORE. If you do the application will close and you have to start all over again. Also, The program redirects you to a website warning you to make an account before you will be able to read more information. This also has a "Terms of Service" link. Scrolling down youll notice a message saying "All fees for the Service are charged automatically" at section four. Im sorry I cannot tell you more, That is as far as I had courage to go. If you click the "Yes" button, the Popup shouldn't show anymore. However the file will remain on your computer. I still didnt manage to detect it, so if anyone knows how to permanently remove this Malicious Software, Please submit a post with further instructions
