Can you tell me what this is used for? It is created by SoftPedia and I just sent them a message. I recently recieved spyware and problems when I downloaded a Chrome app called Your Live TV. It installed a TV toolbar by conduit, the Blekko search engine, the 1280 Movie player by w3i. W3i is a company that allows people to create toolbars that track computer use for advertising and who knows what else, tracking my use is blatant spyware! I could not uninstall the programs, since they were not in add/remove programs, and i went through all my folders to remove all of this stuff. When I looked at the security properties, there was an Unknown Account S-1-5-21-2340117336-318199285-2195445047-1000 this is the same as the folder name in the PlayFirst cache folder. I am going to delete this when I find the file, since it is a shortcut and the file location is not listed in the properties. Are you sure this is a safe file? The unknown account only shows up in these files that I removed.
