  • SAFErating from user C_Denninger for file %PROGFILES64%\iTunes\ituneshelper.exe (Variant: 31163420)

Comes with Apple's iTunes in Windows. Save but pretty useless if you don't use an iPod, iPad or a iWhatever. When you only use iTunes you can disable (set to manual) the following services (try different names): - Bonjour-service "Bonjour service". - iPod-service / "iPod Service". - "Mobiel Apple apparaat" / "Apple Mobile Device" / "Apple Mobile Device Service". Note: When you want to update iTunes (when it asks for it) you have to start these services first (sometimes even put them back to auto-start). You also have to remove the "iTunesHelper" value from [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun]. It is not important for this key to exist during an update, you only have to remove it afterwards after EVERY update (again).

Save but absolutely useless tool if you don't have a iPod. This tool is forcibly installed bij iTunes. You can savely stop this tool from automaticly running by removing it from the registry run-key below. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun] "iTunesHelper"=""C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe""
