THREATrating from user Jim for file %PROGRAMFILES%\IObit\Advanced SystemCare 3\IObitUpdate.exe (Variant: 379869)
I pay for and use Iobit's Advanced System Care Pro for all its useful utilities and anti-malware facilities. IobitUpdate.Exe comes on maybe once a week and hogs 80-90% of my netbook's processing power for VERY long periods of time. I don't understand what its doing, but am concerned because it doesn't seem to be downloading malware signatures, so what IS it doing, snooping? I don't know. I've found nothing on Iobit's site that explains it. I simply use System Explorer to stop it which doesn't seem to hurt anything, but returns my CPU to MY uses. Jim
