BtvStack.exe is a part of Atheros Bluetooth driver. At current writing I was using ASUS A43SJ with driver version 6.27.521.301 date 21-May-2010 since the driver included on the cd driver is unusable. Btw I do have some problem with this file (btvstack.exe) as it shows higher "handle" (CTRL+ALT+DEL, Processes, View, Select Columns.., Handles) showed in task manager. My computer also shows sign of degraded free memory when I left it sit idle without any program running even with anti virus process turn off. I managed by delete the registry key on: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "AtherosBtStack"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Bluetooth Suite\\BtvStack.exe\"" "AthBtTray"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Bluetooth Suite\\AthBtTray.exe\"" A bit of warning, removing BtvStack.exe alone will foiled you to enter the desktop screen. I have to reboot in safe mode and delete the registry key of AthBtTray.exe shown above. When this is done the free memory wont degrade like it used before. Even so, it does still degrade during normal use. Anyway if you don't bother and still want to left those files out there working, its ok too.(id: 574980)
