    Part of Trend Micro Antivirus - responsible for applying updates to program and binary virus definitions. Early versions of Titanium and SMB Antivirus 7.0 had a glitch and require patches. Until the patch was applied, this program could use 100% of system resources. After patch is applied this is no longer a system hog. You must allow patch and updates to fully run or they will start over with next system reboot.
